FHOP was renamed as Early Education and Training Centre in 1981 at a ceremony officiated by Mrs Anson Chan, then Director of Social Welfare
Ms Nancy Tsang joined the Society as the first Director in 1981; she started working at Hong Kong Centre until the Head Office relocated to Sai Ying Pun in 1983
The first sponsored physiotherapist joined the multi-disciplinary team of the Hong Kong Centre (later renamed Catherine Lo Centre) in 1981 upon graduation
The Society employed the first occupational therapist in 1982
